Course Cancellations and Transfers
Every course must have a minimum enrolment. If cancellation is necessary due to insufficient enrolment, registrants will be notified using the phone numbers on your registration form. Please make certain we have your correct day and evening phone numbers. Once a course is cancelled, registrants may transfer to the next available course or we will provide a full refund. The College reserves the right to withdraw, postpone or combine classes and/or courses, to limit registrations and to change instructors.
Course Transfer and Refund Policy
Course transfer and refund policy when full payment has been received, is listed below:
- Withdrawals made 5 full business days or more before the training date will be refunded, less a $50.00 administration charge.
- Transfers into another course made 5 full business days or more before the training date will be honoured.
- Registrants who withdraw from a course less than 5 full business days prior to the course date are not entitled to a refund.
- Registrants who fail to attend scheduled activities are not entitled to refunds.
- Refunds will be paid by cheque. Please allow 5 weeks processing time. If you pay by credit card, you can receive a refund directly back to your card, but you must request this option.
Protection of Personal Privacy
All records are confidential. Information about any student’s records will not be released without the student’s written authorization.
Official Income Tax Receipt (T2202A)
Official Tuition and Education Amount Certificates (T2202As) will be available online at sis.georgianc.on.ca by February 28 each year for the previous year. Forms will not be automatically mailed to students as in previous years. You will need your student ID number (this number appears on the receipt sent to you at the time of registration) and your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Your student number will be your User I.D. and your date of birth will be your PIN (YY/MM/DD)
- Select Login to Banner
- Enter Student ID number and PIN
- You will be prompted to change your PIN and enter a hint question and response (for security purposes)
- Select Canadian Tax Form
- Select T2202A Tax Credit Form
- Select taxation year (eg. 2008)
- Select Printable Form
- Click Submit
Please note: If you select Continue, this will mark your taxation record as printed. If printed at this time, any subsequent receipts that you print for the same taxation year will be marked Duplicate.
T2202A forms are issued to students who have paid more than $100.00 in eligible fees for courses beginning and ending in a particular calendar year. To be eligible for an education tax credit, the program of study must last at least three consecutive weeks and at least twelve hours per month.
How long are these forms available on line?
T2202A forms are available on line from 2004 to the previous year. Your T2202A tax information will continue to be available for seven years at sis.georgianc.on.ca
If you are not able to print your T2202A:
Please email your request for a printed copy of the T2202A to: accounting@georgianc.on.ca.
Your request must include the following:
1. Student Name
2. Student ID number
3. Please indicate what year you are requesting
Receipts will be mailed out as soon as possible, usually within 7 business days. We use Canada Post regular mail. We do not make courier or pick up arrangements.
T2202A forms prior to 2004
If you require a T2202A form from a previous year (prior to 2004) please contact the accounting office at 705-722-5147. Please choose option 3.
Accounting will require the following information:
• Student Name
• Student ID number
• Year(s) you are requesting a tax receipt
• Credit Card Number and expiry date
• Day time phone number
Callers will be asked random questions to verify their identity. There is a charge of $10 per certificate. Receipts will be mailed out as soon as possible, usually within 7 business days. We use Canada Post regular mail. We do not make courier or pick up arrangements.
